Care & Maintenance
Keep your teak swing bed looking beautiful and ready to enjoy with these simple care tips for the wood, outdoor cushions, and hanging hardware.
Teak Wood Care
-
Untreated teak naturally develops a soft, silver-gray patina over time.
-
To preserve its warm, golden tone, apply teak oil annually according to the manufacturer’s care instructions.
-
Clean with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the wood.
Outdoor Cushion Care
-
Remove and wash cushion covers according to the care label.
-
Spot-clean spills promptly to help prevent stains.
-
Store cushions indoors during heavy rain or extended periods of non-use.
-
Allow cushions to dry completely before storing.
Swing Bed Installation & Safety
-
Regularly inspect ropes, connections, and hanging hardware for wear, balance, and secure attachment.
-
Anchor your swing bed to structural beams capable of supporting the swing and its occupants—never decorative trim.
-
Professional installation is recommended for safe, stable support.
